NOTE
There is a safety period/wait time before a lamp can be re-ignited after it has been turned off.
램프를 끈 후 다시 점등하기 전에는
안전 대기 시간(wait time)이 필요하다.
1. Warm-up the lamp at least 1 h.
램프를 최소 1시간 이상 워밍업하라.
2. Keep environment and ambient temperature stable for all modules, especially for the detector.

모든 모듈, 특히 검출기의 주변 환경 및 실내 온도를 안정적으로 유지하라.
=> detector는 온도 변화에 가장 민감하기 때문이다.
2-1. Do not expose the detector to direct sun light.
검출기를 직사광선에 노출시키지 마라.
=> 외부 광 유입 → 노이즈 증가
=> 국소 가열 → 광학계 불안정
2-2. Do not expose the detector to too much air current from the HVAC.

Ventilation [vɛn.tɪˈleɪ.ʃən] : 환기
공조기(HVAC)에서 나오는 강한 공기 흐름에 노출시키지 마라.
=> 갑작스러운 냉·온풍 → 셀 온도 급변, baseline 요동
3. Install pressure relieve valve (p/n G4212-68001 when using DAD detectors G4212A/B and G7117A/B/C, or p/n 0100-3150 when using FLD detectors) when connecting a second detector after the Max-Light cartridge cell.
Max-Light cartridge cell 뒤에 두 번째 검출기를 연결할 경우 pressure relieve valve를 설치하라.
=> detector 셀은 압력에 매우 취약하여 검출기 직렬 연결 시 압력 누적, 셀 파손 위험이 있으므로 셀 보호 장치(pressure relieve valve)를 설치해야 한다.
4. Use the recommended waste lines for each detector type. Avoid pinching the waste tube after the cell outlet.

각 검출기 타입에 권장된 폐액 라인을 사용하라.
셀 출구 이후의 폐액 튜브가 눌리거나 꺾이지 않게 하라.
5. Ensure that the detector flow cell is bubble free by flushing with isopropanol or other organic solvent until a stable baseline is achieved.
안정된 베이스라인이 나올 때까지 이소프로판올 또는 다른 유기용매로 플러시하여 검출기 플로우 셀에 기포가 없도록 하라.
6. For RI detectors only: flush the reference and sample sides with fresh solvent used for the current application.
RI 검출기의 경우에만, 현재 분석에 사용하는 신선한 용매로 reference 측과 sample 측을 모두 플러시하라.
=> RI는 두 셀의 굴절률 차이를 측정하는데 용매 다르면 baseline이 붕괴되기 때문이다.
7. Flush the flow cell after use.
7-1. Use HPLC grade water to remove salts.
7-2. Use isopropanol to remove organic solvents.
사용 후에는 플로우 셀을 플러시하라.
염을 제거할 때는 HPLC 등급 물을 사용하라.
유기용매 제거에는 이소프로판올을 사용하라.
8. Before removing a flow cell for storage, fill it with isopropanol to prevent algae growth.
플로우 셀을 보관을 위해 분리하기 전에, 조류(algae) 성장을 방지하기 위해 이소프로판올로 채워 두어라.
